The ATA’s annual charity Golf Day was held on the 3rd May and despite the wind, the weather was perfect for the event. 17 teams turned out on the green for a great day of golf and networking. Being the first industry event held since May last year, it was handshakes and smiles all around.
Following 18 holes, everyone settled down afterwards in the club house for canapes and drinks. Once the final team arrived, the awards presentations began.
Congratulations to the winners of the day being the U Games and EducationAll team consisting of Andrew McCosker, Mick Di Prinzio, Duane Cannon and Trevor Mair. They had a winning score of 54.875.
The wooden spoon went to Dave Watson and Michael Redmond of Moose Toys as well as Rob Alban of DGR Toys and Darren Neil of Toyworld / Toy Kingdom.
On the day, a putting competition was held as well as nearest the pin on hole 11 and longest drive on hole 9.
Congratulations to the winners below:
- Putting Competition Winner: Karl Rushton of Rusco Imports
- Nearest the Pin Winner: Peter McLean of Big Balloon
- Longest Drive Winner: Por Van of the Headstart team
Prior to concluding the day, the winners of the silent auction items were also announced. The ATA would like to thank Terry Carroll, Glenn McLean (Zimbler) and James Thurlow (Jasnor) for their donations. All together a total of $800 was raised from this alone.
The ATA would also like to thank those who attended the day as well as the sponsors, Callaway; Heron Beverages; Plum Products; SGS and Woodlands Golf Club and finally to Chris Loverso and Ray Hartland for their time in planning the event.

All profits will be donated to the communities in QLD & NSW affected by the floods, to assist in the rebuild.
